Something up at IAG

Had spiked up to nearly 91$ today, has backed off a little , but still up nearly 3% on the day.
I can only think some good news coming up in the upcoming report slated for MAy 10... or shortcovering? Wasnt a real big short position tho...unless shorts jumped on IAG after April 15 and are now scrambling to cover.

Don't really follow IAG so really hard to comment on that. I do see that the volume as of the time of this post was below average and that would not suggest that any real shortcovering is taking place to me. That said, I am encouraged by the price action on LCS today as this is x dividend date and both the preferreds and commons pay out and reduce the NAV. While still early days ...more

We ll so far today, LCS price is moving away from a premium and into a deeper discount. The buying across the board on the lifecos today is incredibly robust. IAG now up 3.3%, MFC up 2.1%, SLF up 1.52 % and GWO also up 1.34%. So indeed it probably isnt anything specific to IAG. Last sale at 5.97 on the commons means the discount is now over 30 cents on the commons. My spreadsheet ...more
