Pointnorth

PointnorthI hate to say it, but some of the guys that Pointnorth wants on the board have run other companies to the ground. I knew of them and even met some of them at one point in my career and was surprised at how they ruined at least one good business that I had watched for a long time. Although LIQ management has their issues (high pay and low skin in the game), these guys at Pointnorth will not make this company better. I think they'll come in, have a salary and leave when/if they don't succeed, where at least the current management has to keep the company operating to keep their jobs. The Pointnorth guys have nothing to lose from trying to take over the board, only personal gain, and can walk away at any time. Without personally owning a large position in the company, those Pointnorth guys don't sell me on the idea that they really care about my shareholder value. I don't want to see any Pointnorth guys on the board because I see them as opportunistic weasels with a bad track record from all of the info I've read so far.

This whole proxy fight though, I beleive has made the current board more "receptive" to some of the shareholder's concerns. I do think the management have opened their eyes and I think it bodes well for the shareholders.
