In questionable areas the scoop may not touch the muck until assay results reported.This will put very strong grade control parameters in place. Rock dilution is the greatest killer to the mine grade and profit. It took many decades for managers and engineers to wisen up to those facts. To them it was all about efficiency. They wanted tons per man to be high. High mine tonnage schedules. All along it is about metal and metal value first. Efficiency is very important but nothing beats grade control for profit..nothing!!
