Having worked in a mine on crushing equipment for 7 years as an industrial electrician, just craking up the feed wouldn't work.  The motors that drive the equipment will shut down if you overload them.  If they bypass what protects them, they will burn out.

I'm sure it can do what they say or they would be looking at constant downtime from equipment overload.  Something that would really slow down production.
