The whole goal of the majors is to buyout the company BEFORE the price takes off.
In the conf. call it was mentioned that Temex was trying to get like 80% of Whitney and Goldcorp
hadn't contributed for several quarters. That question was squashed. Why?
Even at 40% why would Goldcorp even care about 400,000 oz? They are going to have a
"meeting" over that. Yeah... right. Goldcorp cares about millions of high grade oz's.
You know, like the ones they have drifted directly into with Visible Gold everywhere. Go check
the drill results for the VG hits. Did you miss it?
GG had the opportunity to buy LSG when it's was less than 50 cents!!! But it didn't...there won't be a buyout now
BrahV,
That was before they bought Probe. Now they need to mill the Borden Lake Gold. Too bad the
Porcupine/Dome mill has like 30+ years of ore already running at 11,000 TPD. Bell Creek Mill
is ready to expand to 5500 TPD. Add the CIL tanks on the back end and it is ready to go.
A new 5500 TPD mill would cost around $400 million. Might as well use that money now
as part of the Buyout down payment. Why do you think Teck is workiing with EXS?
The new 144 gold trend is turning out to be more than expected.
Let's do some math BrahV.
5500 TPD * 6 gpt (144 ore guess) = 33,000 grams per day.
33,000 grams/31 grams(1 oz) = 1,064 oz of gold per day. With me so far?
Let's run the mill say 360 days per year.
That yeilds 383,000 oz per YEAR. Now do you understand why they need to set up a "meeting".
The 144 ore is thick. They might be able to use mechanized underground bulk mining much
like the Young Davidson mine that Alamos owns. That would really bring down the costs.
