Rumor from a buddy in Timmins that they are stopping all expeditures for 1 year including exploration to conserve cash. Stock is moving up so might be true
Comment by theghost707 on Jun 05, 2012 11:28am
if they are stoppping why would our price go up that would make us a dead stock   ???   no mining no gold!   that wouldent make sense
Comment by stwatcher on Jun 05, 2012 11:35am
The opposite I think. Mining what they have and not spending on exploration will put cash in the bank. Again, this is what is on the street and not announced so take as such.

>>"Rumor from a buddy in Timmins that they are stopping all expeditures for 1 year ...." If there has been a change in capital expenditure plans wouldn't it immediately be disclosed by the company in accordance with exchange rules?  And if they no longer have a deal with Sprott, wouldn't we  have been told that too.  Is the absence of disclosure a ...more

Tony has finally woken up to reality ---nobody cares about more exploration ,we already have 15 years of potential to go ,so why waste money on more drilling .GET THE GOLD OUT OF THE GROUND AND BUILD UP CASH ---SMART MOVE TONY ---LISTEN TO SOME OF THE LARGE SHAREHOLDERS WHO HAVE BEEN AROUND FOR THE LAST 56-60 YEARS . IF RUMOR IS TRUE---THANKYOU ---TONY   REALITY AT LAST

basemetal you ask  " Is the absence of disclosure a reflection of poor management  or what ?" Is that possible?? Have we seen any other evidence of poor management leading LSG?  Maybe it a question worth discussing?
Comment by basemetal on Jun 05, 2012 5:35pm
>>" Maybe it a question worth discussing? We were told that the Sprott deal would close by the end of May.  We await further word. There seemed to be no attempt to conserve cash when we ran short... . I was surprised that rumours of reduced activity meet with applause on the thread, when my original posting was unpopular,  I will not pursue an unpopular topic except to say ...more

To sort of answer your question the talk at timmins west is that the mill is way over budget and that the sag mill is on hold waiting for parts, apparently 2 different parts from 2 totally different mills were shipped and there trying to figure out where are mill parts are. from a budget stand point we can't spend the money we don't have. in my opinion I can't see us making our onces ...more

Just our luck ---somebody should be fired -and now try to figure out where you can get more parts

Firstly,Q2 production guidance as per presentations are 20,000 to 25,000 ounces ,not 25,000 to 30,000. and they will meet their guidance.3rd and 4th Qtr are 25,000 to 30,000 ounces and are attainable with the higher grades from UM1 zone.Apparently Bell Creek is doing better than expected. As for the mill I won,t worry about the day to day things as there may be some minor delays but they have ...more
