Results and perception
What's not to like about the results or the direction the company is being taken by current leadership?
im very long term here before and into any future development and ensuing benefits.like a lot of serious investors here, I have sat on large paper losses in comparison to the sp highs some time back. Hindsight's a marvellous thing. The adults in the room will recognise and accept the nature of risk. Some of the people on this forum shouldn't be investing in any stocks, let alone lucara. Call out mismanagement, if it's there but a bombed out sector and SP plus a massive new project, are responsible here , not the management team. I humbly submit.

As far as I can see the only mistake the management of this company have made is not building up funds to put towards the always likely underground expenses. It's only one mistake but a huge one . They might have got away with the mistake but with the sector hammered over the last few years we have paid a far bigger price than we otherwise would have.

Time will tell whether it was a mistake or not. There are so many unknowns in this secretive diamond world that it's impossible to know what played into various decisions made along the way.

Time has already told , we have been impeded by the underground costs , at least part of the weak sp is due to the costs, only one worse thing than not giving a dividend is giving a dividend and then taking it away . I would have been a fan of delaying the dividend until we were sure it was sustainable. We would have got no less cash back but just later .
