RE: RE: lundin to be privatized

RE: RE: lundin to be privatizedI agree completely.  But it seems to be a different world going forward, if of course you listen to all the propaganda being shoved down our throats from supposedly well informed analysts and experts.  Just read today where the president of Freeport Mcmoran stated that the tenke project IS going to be completed as planned.  it is one of 2 projects in the development stage, that they are going to put into production.  Yet all we hear, is the problems with the congo mining authority, and how they want a bigger piece of the pie.  According to management of lundin, with the current downturn in the commodities, they feel optomistic that the congonese gov't will be backing down on their strong arm tactics of recent.  As i said in an earlier post, this is all posturing on the part of the players involved.  No one is walking away from this project, no matter what anyone else thinks.  In my opinion, as i stated before, production worldwide, which coincidently is LESS than a current months demand on almost all base metal commodities will  turn of the tide within  the next 6-9 months or less.  This is based on current base metal inventories (Supply/Demand),  which is discounting the future decrease in supply( mine closures, project suspensions and economies of scale) and demand.  To really understand the situation, one only has to understand that  costs associated with bringing thes projects forward on any scale, has gotten way ahead of itself.  Inflation, over spending (credit) and demand for increased wages from workers throughout the production cycle, has pushed prices of all commodities much higher to quickly. Not to mention  the price of oil shooting up over the last 9 months was in my opinion the catalyst. Thus the tight credit problems (layoffs, plant shutdowns etc.)  By the way, its probably time again to state how much i detest George Bush, his only motivation for wanting to be president, was to make himself and his friends a ton of money, which he has.  To prove my point look at the big 3 automakers in the U.S., they are all going down the tubes, their is talk of them joining together, what a joke.  Typical of the US, they missed the boat again.  Instead of pushing the retooling and development of the electric car, Bush decided on the war instead.  General Motors has developed and tested an electric car, called the VOLT, production expected by 2010, why wasn't this the focus of all US carmakers when bush got into office. AMSWER, because that wouldn't have made him and his friends the money that war would.  What a joke he is.
