THINK BIG! HUUUUUUUGE!
If there is an established billion dollar market - a market that you don't have to create because it exists already - and you have found a way to make the same product a stunning 5X more potent could you quickly take the market? You could use a fraction of the dose to achieve the same result. PGX-YBG could also have gold standard purity. It's a very compelling opportunity. Gold standard.
PGX-YBG has been found 5X more immune stimulative in human cell-lines. According to the quarterly results news release there is now a "Protocol designed for a head-to-head study in animals for testing immune properties of PGX-YBG against a commercial formulation." What if the results in the animal trial confirm the results in the human cell-lines? All of this as PGX-YBG is being scaled up 5X and 10X; including with industry leader Natex. The new merged company(AEZS/CZO) also has a North American and European footprint to support global operations, $60 million cash, a NASDAQ listing, and potential analyst support. Gilles has had a vision of a $40 million, 40 million dose per year PGX-YBG immune booster plant. The plant had a $100 million NPV using a 25% discount rate. With the successful completion of the animal trial, and the 100L scale-up with Natex the discount rate could be significantly less; especially if CZO signs a licensing deal validating PGX. While the yeast beta glucan market is $1 billion if PGX-YBG sets a new standard it could also access a much larger immune boosting market. CZO could even justify a bigger plant. And PGX-YBG can serve much more than as an immune booster. The CoQ10 market is worth $4 billion Gilles has noted and CZO has outperformed the industry gold standard. PGX-YBG could also profoundly alter the fibrosis treatment landscape accoridng to Dr. Martin Kolb and be used as a Trojan Horse for the delivery of other bioactives/drugs. PGX-YBG is so small it is swallowable by macrophages. It can also be inhaled into the lungs unlike the competition.
