Decent Volume Today

Nice to see some volume today.  Is there any way to tell if it's a block trade?  For the last 3 "big" volume days, I haven't been seeing anything in level 2 that indicates large volume of buyers/sellers and then suddenly - BOOM - relatively big volume shows up, making me wonder if it's a block trade?  I think a user previous said block trades would show up on level 2, but would the buy/sell orders pop up simultaneously at a certain time or does anyone know how that works?  That might explain why I haven't been seeing anything. There's never too much volume, nor action on level 2 with this stock and I'm definitely not watching it all day, so I could easily miss seeing anything on level 2 if they somehow time the block trade.  Probably a dumb question, just wondering.  Thank you.
