MFC Valuation.MFC book value is currently $15,80 per share.
The highest it has ever been was $16.65
When a company issues more shares or write off losses,
the book value per share will drop.
For that
.85 drop in MFC's peak valuation, MFC Stock price
has dropped from over $44.00 to $15.31
So on a relative basis another
.85 drop and MFC stock price will
go below 0 cents
Its all nonsense to say MFC has long term products ( eg. Guaranteed variable annuities)
on which they collect up front fees and annual fees and allow clients a 5% withdrawal (not interest)
annually from their principals will cause investors to panic and sell off.
MFC is making tons of cash off these long-term annuities and Investors also know the money
collected from these clients are invested long term in the stock markets( not short term)
and long term the stock markets are all up.
So why this panic on short term volatility when we are aware of the mark to market reporting ?
Only my opinion
