McDonalds is all about a branding. If it collaborated with BYND to develop it;s veggie burger it would have done so with the goal of taste v cost, I think it is a safe bet that MFI is out of the loop

Yes but any worthwhile investment with the returns of plant based products requires a reasonable lead time; would you not agree? Netflix took a decade to establish, perhaps longer.
