Thought

I have thought about this over the past few days! Crux Investor is connected to Ptolemy Capital. Do they have a hidden agenda behind writing this hit-piece? Why does the Crux Investor refuse to release the name of his analyst?  Why did the Crux Investor do a friendly interview with Taseko and then turn around and do a hit-piece on Excelsior right when Taseko was raising $400 million?

Does it seem to anyone else that it appears like Crux could have been fed information from Taseko? After all, Taseko still do not have their EPA permit for their Florence ISR. Why is it that the Crux report is so positive on Taseko’s Florence project? Florence and Gunnison are the only two big ISR copper projects in the world.

While I also think Crux had ulterior motives, I'm not quite sure I understand bashing Excelsior and promoting Taseko. Shouldn't the success of Gunnison only promote the success of in-siti copper mining in general and would increase Taseko's chances of receiving funding for its own in-situ project? Or is the speculation that Taseko is bashing Excelsior to compete for financing? I ...more

MIN's Gunnison project success should be TKO's Florence project success and vice versa because both will prove that in-situ works and will only help each other. I find it stupid to bash one but promote the other.

If anything, Excelsior and Taseko should be sharing mining data with each other and working together to ensure both of them succeed with the least amount of risks.

Very plausible. Either way, the stock looks to be in a falling wedge pattern. Any positive news at this point will shoot this right up. I think the most important points coming up would be the speed of ramp up + estimates on all-in costs. If both are in line, it will go right past 52 week high.

Unit costs during the commissioning period will have no bearing on unit costs at steady production levels. Just have to suck it up and wait as far as that it concerned. Apart from ramping up production, this phase is required to iron out the usual teething problems, equipment and process wise.
