It seems to me that even if ordinary lying isn't illegal, AJ has a fiduciary duty to the shareholders. He's in a dicey position As CEO of Cancana. He can't deal in bad faith... Not releasing drill results on the manganese seems contrary to "enhancing shareholder value" as it were.
That said, there's no sense letting our imaginations run away with us. It looks bad to be sure.
