$.84 not bad for a days worth but disappointed...

Really good deal for Calibre as it should have gone for well over $1.  Now do I hold the new company or say good bye to the maritimes?  Calibre had another blowout quarter and does appear to be thriving but I don't do Latin America.  Could work out and I agree with the comments from the execs about creating a mid tier miner overnight but I just don't do Latin America, Africa, the Arctic....sad to see you go Marathon but I won't be going with you.

I agree with metalhead re. not owning companies with operations outside of Canada or the USA due to  (in my view) excessive political / geographical risk. Even in the case of the United States, it costs more to build a mine given your expenses are in USD. Conversely, Canadian mines pay expenses in CAD and sell their ounces in USD.

Owning junior mining co's is about as risky a speculation as one can make. There's no reason whatsoever to heap risk on by buying projects in countries where you could wake up and have nothing due to government or native population madness.  Marathon just got worse, Calibre just got better, Manson did his final insult.
