However, IMO, PE left because he walked into a better job the very next day.
One reason the job was better was because PE's mission at MPVD was over. His goal was to get it to a mine and he did.
Q: What was left for him to do?
A: the same thing our present BOD does of vital importance - NOTHING.
PE is not the kind of guy, IMO, who is going to sit around and be a toothless caretaker.
I'm sure DD wishes he would have stayed, but there was no longer a responsible position at MPVD to entice him.
