My take, FWIW

My take, FWIWAs much as I hate to admit it, I am very, very happy that we own the KDI property.

Back before I realized that we were not producing the White Gems as predicted, I felt the KDI deal was bad because the price was too high and the timing was wrong. Had I known then, as our management most likely did, that the mine was falling far short of predicted performance, my attitude would have PROBABLY been very different.

For now we are an income stock, and if we can't produce a dividend, what have we got?

Without KDI, the answer to that question would be, "Nothing."

But sooner or later, that KDI property could be a very important asset for the owners of the GK mine to have. It could extend the mine's life considerably.

How would you feel if DeBeers, or somebody else, owned the KDI property? And we are struggling to pay a dividend? IMO we would be up $hit creek without a paddle. I don't think a, "Thank God we own the KDI property," in inappropriate.

IMO if anyone wants to buy us out, a big part of their incentive will be to gain control of the KDI property.

So I am saying right now, for all to hear, I now see that I WAS WRONG in opposing the KDI deal, and I am thrilled that we have it.

I think what I have said above explains the present price problem, and I don't think anybody can do anything about it until production and/or prices improve and we can pay a dividend. Or somebody wants to buy us.
