MPVD will survive as an entity thanks to DD.  The question is : How much equity will be left for the other shareholders once the debt restucturing is done?

DD does not run a charity. On the other hand the haircut he gives equity holders he is giving himself, as the largest equity holder. Structuring this will be a challenge. A tough place for an independent director.

I agree.  DD has paid as much as much (or more) as C$5.00 per share for millions of his shares.  I beleive his prime objectice would be to get the price of MPVD  as close as possible to C$5.00.  However, this is easier said than done.

He could forgive the debt.
