In my opinion, Corporations focus on EBITDA when they want to draw attention away from the fact that they are hemorrhaging money. The quarterly losses are getting smaller but they are still losses, which increases overall debt. Newalta has a massive amount of debt. So to answer your question, it is not good. The merger throws Newalta shareholders a lifeline but for how long?

am I wrong in thinking a merger is going to essentially going to put newalta shareholders in new hands to manage the company expenses so this could potentially 180 things. the way I see it is nelwalta has been running into the negatives in the last few years because the cost of crude oil which directly related to it's profit margin. they took a hit after 2014 and so did crude. tough to run a ...more
