The best way I have found to evaluate an ore deposit is by its P&P reserves.
To evaluate a company, a composition of many specific factors, i.e., management, debt structure, geopolitical environment, vulnerability to adverse weather events, cash flow, etc.
Experience counts, there are no shortcuts. Keep bets small while learning and constantly examine other companies for opportunity. The more you learn about the industry, the better investment choices you will make.
