RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Lets recapNo doubt "'germany (sic) needs copper' ", but scarcely more than any other industrialized nation.  Germany will need more copper for their military build up, but IMO their government will be directing funds to purchase metal on the world market rather than continuing to control global reserves.

A book written 50 years ago called "Future Shock" whose premise was that change in the world was happening at a faster and faster rate.  Today we must recognize that large swathes of the planet could become uninhabitable within the next year, something unimaginable only a few years ago.

The future is now.  Look at today’s news.

PERKOA - Executives at Canada-based Trevali Mining said the company was caught unawares by a torrential downpour during the dry season last month in Burkina Faso that left eight men trapped underground in its Perkoa zinc mine.

Rescue efforts are continuing since the flood on April 16, but there has been no communication with the missing miners and it is not known whether any survived.”

And in the undestatement of the decade:  “"We need to understand what do we need to do in future so that what happened here never happens again,"

But it will, over and over again.
