It’s easy to appreciate the enthusiastic joy spread

upon this board by those who bought in at the bottom and are now looking at really good gains.   But I wonder how thin a one penny gain might seem to some really good people who have given 10 years of their life to this project, or for those who bought and held before this last gasp?

There was once a time when copper and PH were both $5.  Investors who were experienced both in the market and the copper industry did the DD and they were certain PH would be a winner.   Point being this cheerleading is starting to sound a lot like Dj vu to me.  They didn’t think the merry-go-round would ever stop either.

I’m happy with my NCU profits as well, but I don’t feel a need to chortle and brag about my success,  how many shares, and what I’m up, etc.   I’m reminded of a crowd around a hot dice table on a Saturday night.  It’s like cheering their team on to victory.  Obviously some lack the character to accept good fortune with grace, and to my mind that would be unfortunate.

Nor is it instructive to post the ask and bid minute by minute.  The only people interested in that information are people who are already watching it.  And that only tells us what has already happened – what I want to know is what happens next?  Next 5 minutes, next half hour, before the close, or in two weeks.  And yes, predicting the future is much harder than reporting the market, but that’s why the ability to do so is so important, and so rare.

Bogfit, yes it is devestating to lose. The old risk / reward gambit that we all take everyday. The further out on the limb you totter to get at those precious few... umm bananas, nuts or whatever, then the more likely the limb breaks and you (or any one of us) tumbles to the ground. I take huge risks and I no longer beat myself up about it not working out. I have actually been wiped out, almost ...more

That you are at peace and satisfied with your life and approach to life is all that matters, until others pay the cost which you insist you have avoided.  Fine, but let's not just assume that everyone else ticks the same way.  No, not every one considers themselves as gamblers.   I know what gamblers are; they're the San Francisco bartender who hopped in my cab one ...more

Bogfit: So I took a chance to extend you the benefit of (yes my) doubt and once again you have taken it as an opportunity to self agrandize and to subtly demonize others (me in this case.)  So we go back to my original recognition about you. You really completely and totally embrace the victim narrative. You refuse to conider that other's may have a point because you are too busy ...more

And yes, please correct my grammer and spelling as you are want to do. I care not to waste another moment edddittting or spllel checking and will go back to reading no more than 10% of your usual verbal spu... and that only for shittes and giggles about what a superior being you are and to acknowege your limitless intellect. it's nice to have some backup on this forum. im used to seeing people my age play the victim card, it's all the rage these days. Bog being Fifty+ and using it, on top of these ridiculous stories and elitism, it makes me cringe. You would think that if the majority of people you encounter point these things out to you you would reflect on them but he's gone the way of Skinner and thinks ...more

"Boddodbettyboopfitinski..." You got to be kidding.  Na -na-na-na, you are too! Thank you for your praise.  Nothing encourages me more than an illiterate opining on my posts.  lol   b.

" will go back to reading no more than 10% of your usual verbal"   LOL What I don’t understand is how you brag about not reading my posts and then complain unceasingly about what was written.  Another of life’s strange and bizarre mysteries for me to ponder late at night while the fire’s embers slowly fade. LOL  You be funny, guy! b

Hmmm ... was it something I said?  LOL  Nice of you to write such an extensive and derailed post about all my failings.  There are so many I do need to keep a list.   Allow me to try to explain something to you.  Yes a troll does have an intended  "victim" of his attack, however whether one FEELS victimized is another matter altogether.  To tell the ...more
