RE:RE:RE:NCU

Copper Spot prices are trending over the 52 week high as copper supply is now being reported as low.  YouTube actually has some decent videos on the subject if you search "Copper Price".

NCU is online and producing ore.  That ore is now being sold at (or over) these 52 week highs.

The challenge faced at the moment is funding to bring the rest of the mine online and to get the underground crusher online.  They have an above-ground crusher up and running so the additional crusher will help increase to mine to full nameplate production.

Funding for the additional work has been reported as needing external / additional funding and the mine operators are seeking that funding.  Pala may / may not be open to providing the funds but this has yet to be seen.

If copper spot price should remain high or continue to trend higher as projected then the additional funding may simply come from the partial operation of the mine without the need for external funding.  This may take awhile but may also work in conjunction with external funding if the operation can off-set the amount of external funds needed by it's sale of ore.

You are assuming that production will reach nameplate and continue with no major setbacks or interruptions.  This has never happened in the history of this company or deposit. You are further assuming that production will be profitiable at current copper prices, and profitiable enough to pay off old debt without the need for additional outside financing. We don't even know what the ...more

Price per pound for the mine to be profitable has been disclosed, in part through the company presentation on their website and then in part through interviews and disussions you can find online.   Issues and challenges with the mine are understood and the operators are working to overcome existing as well as address risk in what can be foreseen.  Again, details have been discussed ...more

Those are old numbers which do not take into account recent difficulties and delays, nor do they account for financing needs and delays.  My point is that this company has a history of failure and underperformance, as does this deposit, so be wary. You wish to see the very most optimistic view available in all avenues. Maybe you are correct. Good luck.

Past failures are not an indicator of future failure or success.  If you gave up on everything you tried the first time you fail then you are assured of getting no where. This holds true in the market as it does in life. Past failures of this mine were seen under market conditions where spot prices were much weaker and future outlooks for copper were much lower.  Regardless of where a ...more

That may be a good bedtime story for your kids, but try telling it to a financial institution when seeking funding...

Most ug mines go way over guidance on development. New gold rainy river. Pure gold red lake. Premiur gold Golden triangle. So ph is about the same. 5.00 copper is helping:)) Nf

Patch, I'm being generous with my projections here in response to Quinn. If you look at some of my old posts, you'll see that I have suspected for a long time that the current majority holders are setting this up to fail so that can buy all the infrastructure on the cheap.  Management, on the other hand, does not have a good track record, and are likely playing into Vlads scheme ...more

The mine produces both copper and gold,  spot prices on both have been increasing in rescent weeks therefore any contracts they are signing now are at better prices. The R/S comment earlier must of come from someone not familiar with these stocks as this particular mine does not appear to fall under any requirement for a min shareprice etc.  doesn't mean they wouldn't but there ...more

if i remember from barrik when it was @ 300 Oz Au...  the mines sign these contracts on an 8 month basis - along the lines of 6 1/4's, ABX got shagged when diesel hit 5$ and production hit 350$ an oz..  the contracts then were not for a full 100% Stream..  ABX then: Formed a Gold Bank simply drove the melt (%%% ? )across the high way to Almy and stored it in a tin wharehouse... ...more

Any idea what the  current major holders plan to do with the cheap infrastructure when they get it? Do you think they will sell it off or keep mining?

If u r talking about pH, the major sh already own 90%  I doubt they will for close on themselves. Q 2 should be paying the bills with copper. Hoping for 4 times copper in q2 and then 4 more times in q3 Be nice if piping and crusher was all commissioned by q3. Happy guessing?? Nf
