The Coming Police Rebellion

As the summer wears on and the demonstrations continue without any sign of progress the current 'peaceful' demonstrations will relapse into mayhem and aggression against the police will intensify.

What happens when Derek Chauvin is found guilty of 2nd degree murder by a jury that will convict just to buy peace. Every cop in America knows that there's no way to prove Chauvin killed Floyd with intent so that a conviction on 2nd degree would be absoutely bogus. The correct charge is 3rd degree.

How long before the 99.999% of police who had nothing to do with George Floyd's death tire to the point of breaking with the relentless accusations, insults and physical abuse they've been suffering so quietly. Will they riot a la Chicago 1968 and go on a head-bashing spree? Will they quit in droves and abandon their cities to thousands of rioters and arsonists?

The demonstrators are demanding that American cities defund the police. Given the demographics of major American cities the demonstrators may get their wish. This may not end well.

It turns out you  -can- spot a bad apple. You just can't remove one.   -   So it turns out that Derek Chauvin, the former Minneapolis police officer who was filmed murdering George Floyd last week, had 17 different complaints of serious misconduct during his career. That puts him among the 10% worst offenders in the Minneapolis police department. The ...more

Second Degree murder does not include intent to kill. second-degree murder involves causing "the death of a human being, without intent" You should probably look up definitions before using them.

Second degree murder is a criminal law term that describes the killing of another human being without premeditation, but with intent. Study this definition carefully then explain to me how anybody can prove intent to kill in this instance.

Simply wrong. "Second degree murder is generally defined as intentional murder that lacks premeditation, is intended to only cause bodily harm, and demonstrates an extreme indifference to human life. The exact legal definition of this crime will vary by jurisdiction."   Study where you are getting your definitions from.   https://criminal.findlaw.com ...more

"2nd degree murder can also apply to reckless disregard - the act of causing serious bodily harm in the full knowledge that your actions may result in death. However, it is not intentional." https://www.quora.com/What-is-the-difference-between-1st-2nd-and-3rd-degree-murder-Why-do-the-distinctions-exist

Very nice. If it is intentional should the value of Ndm go up or down?
Comment by AuntiePenny2 on Jun 08, 2020 9:13pm
The value of NDM should go up whether the murder was intentional or not. At least that's what the chart indicates. Give it a few days to consolidate then -  next leg up.  NAK $2.11, NDM $2.83. Or thereabouts. Barring the collapse of POG of course.

I was being facetious. I thought it was an NDM board.

Sorry, I was just trying to correct false statement.  However, you do have to admit that Pebble is taken ostage in a polical war.  It was dissapointing that policital agenda bypassed the scientific method during Obama's term.  I worked for the Canadian Malartic Gold Mine, and this mine was also really political because they needed to move people out since the mine is built in ...more
