RE:RE:The dithering will continue for at least another yearIntegrated miners like to have control over all aspects of production. A large dependable supply of in-house concentrate will make their decision making easier. That said, Glencore is (and was in its past life) a concentrate trader, which means that it makes a lot of its money trading concentrates. Smelters get smacked when there is restricted supply; they make a lot more money when there is a glut of concentrate. They also make good coin when treating "dirty" concentrates (those loaded with deleterious elements). Having a long-term supply of clean concentrate from Kidd will assist in the big-picture. BTW Kidd is not running out of mineralisation; it is just becoming more technically challenging to mine at 3km+ depths.

I see you have a good reputation on this site, I am not sure what you are trying to convey in your post.  The Kidd mine appears to be nearing the end of its utility, I believe it is over 50 years old.   That is well known, other Canadian zinc mines appear to be coming on.   How do you think that affects the smelter and future decisions that pertain to it?
