ALERTS - Insiders buying large like CEO Kanaan

I'm talking around 300K shares each across 3 insiders one of which is PCF (institution)

Thanks Moochee - although there is something more fundamental going on that investors don't seem to realize.   If insiders already own close to 70% of the company and are buying up at these levels - do you think they plan to trade the stock or hold long?  I'm quite certain not one of the insiders plan to sell for a few years.  That means the supply of shares being traded on ...more

Completely agreed ocean, What is a tell for me is the fact that the insiders have been taking advantage of the over-reaction, they had a great deal to swoop even more shares. All leading to the next quarter - which I foresee great numbers because 1) why would insiders buy more if the quarter report will be horrible? They would just wait after reporting then buy shares 2) I think the next quarter ...more

Sedi has not shown any insider activity for years. Either they're late 5 years filing or SEDI has got it wrong.

James Richard Hale (director with Neulion) has accumulated over 1.55M shares over the last 8 days directly through the open market via direct trades through his personal account and through his fund (Parallax Capital). I have matched his trades with the net house summaries and he matches dollar for dollar...here is a guy with tens (if not hundreds) of millions of dollars - with over $50M already ...more

are you saying that the reason sp is moving up is because Kanann is spoofing the shorts? That's not very encouraging. I was thinking it was merit based recovery from an oversold situation.

No - that is not what I'm saying. What I am saying is when management already owns 70% of a company - and starts gobbling up the remaining open interest by those shorting the stock - you will inevitably get into a situation where there are no more sellers (shorts are out of the market) and those that remain are buyers or longs that have no intention of selling at these prices...which will ...more

I agree with you 100%. if you look at insider buying, Charles wang and his wife nancy li buy stock when it starts to sink to prop it up. perhaps they have loan covenants. also, wang controls many of the large stockholders through business relationships including

BTW - if management has scooped up millions of shares in the last week to their already large position - I can't think of anymore more encouraging than that...to me that's always the best vote of confidence - when management has a huge stake in the game. Good luck.

Exactly - the more skin in the game, the more confidence it should provide for us longs. GLTA - Patience, I'm telling you guys watch for the next Q. Get in while you can.

Durng the run-up in mid/late June from $1.35 to $1.72, volume was high over these days, and I got out just off the high..after volume dropped.  I investigated who was buying...the same Richard Hale was purchasing at these prices..So, if he was accumulating in the $1.40/1.50/1.60/1.70 range (not sure of exact price he purchased), and still accumulating at today's prices...there must be ...more

I did some research on Parallax Capital - here is what I learned: a) Private equity firm in California b) Typically buy a controlling interest in tech companies with significant growth potential c) They only buy companies with a proprietary technology (ie. high barrier to entry) d) They bring in thier own management team and acquire board seats - very hands on management. e) Once they acquire ...more
