Short covering rally?

I'm somewhat taken aback by the degree of the share price strength today, not only in NPI but in all the renewable energy stocks. Perhaps this is just a short-coverning rally ahead of Friday's U.S. employment report as some are speculating that it might show a loss in jobs which would take some pressure off the Fed to raise interest rates.
