Have to disagree fully with this take on NPK. The writer does not know or understand the company IMO. Christiano V. and Board made the conscious decision to NOT issue any more shares, but to self fund development of the company. Naturally, free cash flow is affected as it is going into funding plant construction and corporate development. This is a great way to advance the company and to complain  ...more

I agree with you. This article almost has the feel of analysis by "bot". It does not seem to allow for the fact that this is a company in start up mode, redeploying cash into plant and machinery, rather than an established entity that can throw off cash. That should happen in good time, but a nonsense right now.

  It's always good to take into account all thought through perspectives but I'd agree this analysis appears to be missing the forest for the trees, nitpicking one data point and not contextualizing why much of the cash being generated  is rapidly being deployed into capacity expansion. The biggest Achilles heal for Verde is a scenario where oil prices get out of hand while ...more

Agreed Benedictus. On the oil price (read truck diesel costs) relative to potash prices, yes if oil rises further and potash falls to $300 then margin contraction and profitability is hugely compromised. However I think we are seeing a closer correlation between oil prices and fertiliser prices than has been the case before, due to the Russian situation having an affect on both prices, but also ...more
