Novo considers this new discovery very important and is currently adjusting its 2017 field program to begin aggressive exploration at Karratha
Highest priority will be given to the Comet Well Purdy’s area where metal
detectorists have been most active in recent months.
In situ occurrences of nuggets have now been identified in multiple outcrops over approximately 8 km of strike.
Novo plans a comprehensive soil sampling program to help define gold anomalous
conglomerate horizons. Using expertise gained at Beatons
Creek, Novo will also undertake trenching and bulk sampling of know gold bearing outcrops
Across the greater tenement package, Novo plans stream sediment sampling
downstream from prospective stratigraphy to help identify additional gold bearing
conglomerates. Reconnaissance level mapping will be undertaken concurrent with
stream sediment sampling
Novo has begun looking into means of undertaking large diameter drilling as a
potential exploration strategy. Plans for such drilling will be gauged on results from
trench work
