This is a confusing ruling. One of the supreme courts original purposes was to resolve issues between states so they do not spiral into violence. In this case 20 states were officialy for it and 20 against. To denny even hearing the evidence becasue of lack of standing seems a stretch. There is now no legal way to resolve this and Texas has already talked about getting a group of states together to secede from the US and form a new Country.

Trump sighned an oath to defend the US from all enemies foriegn and domestic. That may be part of why he is continuing to fight this.
