RE:BubbaNo offense taken - very nice people can disagree with me, on numerous topics. My wife, and other fine friends, remind me of that on a daily basis.
"Trad" questioned QH's committment to Novo by doubting whether QH would have mortgaged his family home to finance Novo. That was an assault on QH's committment to Novo and indirectly his character.
Moriarty then proceeded to tear him another rear-end, basically by saying he KNOWS QH personally and would not be surprised if QH had in fact done so (mortgage his family home), citing further evidence.
Moriarty then went further, encouraging "trad" (who he thinks is Dart) to do his research BEFORE he writes instead of after.
I think most people would agree that when juxtaposed to the fact that Moriarty actually KNOWS and has spent many hours with QH that HIS OPINION about QH's character holds much more water than that of some anonymous internet bulletin board poster. In fact, Moriarty is writing a BOOK about QH and Novo, which promises to be filled with information AND entertainment. I will be a buyer for sure.
And personally I think Dart has shown in the past that his research on Novo has not been solid. Maybe Dart just looks at charts and then starts writing? There is a VALUE in getting to know the people you write about - and also doing in-depth research. Did Dart actually read everything there is to know about Millenium? Has Dart ever BEEN to Australia to look at the various projects? As I recall, one issue Dart screwed up on was the fact that Millenium Mills in fact DID have a prior 43-101 done, and he just totally missed it. Their ounces put Novo over a million ounces. He further, and I believe unfairly, discounted the fact that conglomerate deposits are not really amenable to 43-101 reports in the first place.
I personally believe Moriarty's trust in QH's character is well-placed, as well as his criticism of Dart's research/writing skills. But, in Dart's defense, he's relatively young and NEEDS to be slapped around a bit in the normal course so he can mature professionally. DO YOUR HOMEWORK BEFORE YOU WRITE STUFF ABOUT PEOPLE.
