RE:RE:RE:RE:WOW, BIG-TIME BOARD MEMBERWell Darkie, companies HAVE to have members of their BOD, and we most certainly do NOT want Humpty-Dumpty sitting on our BOD. When one sits on a BOD he has duties toward the shareholders, the breach of which is actionable/compensable in a court of law. Members of BODs have LOTS of responsibilities - and they SHOULD be paid for it. Have you ever sat on a BOD? Try it, and I guarantee the FIRST thing YOU do is obtain a D&O policy, unless the company pays for it for you.
