According to some surveys, Australia today also appear to remain the potentially world’s second largest gold producer behind China, and followed by Russia. In addition to that it was said that there was one specific province of Australia that could have the potential path towards success- New South Wales (NSW). These specific part of Australia appear to be one of the most prolific gold territories for exploration and production ever since the 1850s, and could potentially be the second largest gold producing area in Australia with a gold endowment exceeding approx. 3,160 tons.

It was reported that Australian gold production seems to have experienced a good recovery during the June 2020 quarter. Output totaled approx. 85 tons, and appears to be approx. 10% of the March quarter. Additionally, according to some consultant, these other companies claimed to show a record of approx. 328 tons of gold production in the 2019-2020.
