ANSWER: TA can be a good tool, if used wisely BEFORE the race. Fundamentals are just as important, if not more so, unless you're just a short-term traders.
STORY: I once had a client sell off a huge car dealership. He started DAY-TRADING and lost it all (Millions) within two years - he thought he was Mr. Day Trader with all his little charts and methods, and he REFUSED to take any advice or even listen to ANYBODY. I ended up putting him in a bankruptcy - after his divorce.
