It is unfortunate that individuals are down and you are right there are no guarantees. It is understandable that not everyone is going to be happy over this.
Executives even of poorly run and under performing companies get paid. There is volatility in the market and there are companies that decline over time more than 10% on no news whatsoever.
I agree with the positives of your methods of conservative growing income.
It would be nice to know timelines of expansion, dividends, asset recycling but it is based on market influences of getting a reasonable price to sell or purchase property(ies).
