Each year, the President of the Philippines, on recommendation by a selection committee co-chaired by the Secretary of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), recognises mining operations that perform to the highest standards of safety, environmental and social management. During the Philippine Mine Safety and Environment Associations 63rd Annual National Mine Safety and Environment Association Ceremony held on November 18, 2016 in Baguio City, Luzon, the Didipio operation was also presented with additional awards in categories recognising excellence in Minerals Processing, Safety and Agroforestry.
