Thanks to respected & reliable Stocktwits contributer Dude1234 who shared that the Fly reported that Oppenheimer had a meeting with Coffey & Heineman on April 24. Analyst coverage could follow. Big news.

The latest edition of Oppenheimer and Co. Inc.'s Quarterly Biopharma M & A and Strategic Collaboration Insights Report is now available upon request. The source that stated we are talking to Oppenheimer is solid, but not guaranteed, as is nothing until it is confirmed beyond question. I do think the rumour is solid, and this is what we have been waiting for. Cheers!

Jimsenior et al, Could you clarify what you feel this point would imply if true? Is the interpretation that Opppenheimer would provide coverage by analysts and a recommendation? Or that Oppenheimer is midwifing a potential deal? Or that Oppenheimer is somehow orgaizing some financing for ONCY?

@westcoast1000. One can only but guess on these matters. And one must allow for biases and wishful thinking. My Best Guess  -  The Whole Enchilada Beyond that I could not possibly comment.

I can't speak to the veracity of the rumor that Oppenheimer has recently met with ONC/Y.  However, in conducting a deal with a value in the billions of dollars I would expect ONC/Y to use the services of an investment bank like Oppenheimer. Multiple meetings with Oppenheimer might lead one to surmise that more is on the table than analyst coverage. Perhaps aid in facilitating a BD deal is being agreed upon.

I was thinking the same thing Fox. This could be steps toward a series of actions to get the price up to $10 or more, in antricipation of or just after the presentation. Then we can move toward $30 with an AA or P3 announcement. Then we are in a better situation for an actual buyout later on.
