Buyout

I am amazed that the big producers operating in Africa and in particular in this region are not showing interest in buying Orezone. Its market cap is sure to shoot up at first pour, mine construction on schedule, on budget and on the verge of an enhanced resource update, what not to like here?

It may not be that they are not showing interest yet Orezone management is not entertaining that option until the shareprice reaches a level in which a premium makes everyone happy. The market needs to get its act together and starting rotating back into this sector.

I agree! The management is not shy to M&A but at the moment, the shareprice is to low. Now they are so close to the gold so they would never sell the company unless there is a very good premium! At this stage the potantial buyers also awaits the First pour and commercial production

If the stock market could actually do its job for once then the rerate will push us into the 2$ range and from there the 1.?? billion $ pricetag could be acheived. With the high grades from the started pits starting to shape up here it might take a few quarters of results to get a bid. But then again we also have 3 rigs drilling P17 and a new resource calculation coming. The only thing we don' ...more

Re: Decoupling of Mining Stocks.. Perhaps wishful thinking. I would see it more as a quick swoosh down for basically everything, followed by a quick rebound for gold miners (esp. the ones that are gnerating cash flow form producing mies - or the near producers i.e. those that will do so in the next few years - ala Orezone) It may look like a decoupling when you look back, but it doesn' ...more
