North American OSB prices register parabolic gains.

North American OSB prices register parabolic gains. As per TD Securities, lumber prices are continuing to set records in several regions and OSB prices have registered parabolic gains. On July 30th TD's Canadian Small Cap Model Portfolio announced it was increasing its position in Interfor Corp. (IFP-T) to 4.0% from 2.1% and also maintaining its position in Norbord Inc. (OSB-T, portfolio weight 4.3%). On August 4th they mentionned the "unprecedented lumber price rally" as continuing to extend its gains and that the price momentum for OSB remains "expectional": "the North Central benchmark price improved 10% last week to US $505/Msf. Gains remain more pronounced in the U.S. South (+15% last week). Reports suggest extreme shortages and buyers' inability to cover immediate needs."
