Quartely results

Quartely resultsThe third quarter has just ended. NBD will post its quarterly results on October 28 (in exactly four weeks). I have estimated what the earnings will be utilizing a model that I constructed a few months ago. This model assumes that NBD's yearly earnings change by US$0.13/share for each change in OSB prices of US$10/1000 sq. ft. I estimate that the average OSB price in the third quarter was close to, perhaps a bit lower than, the average second quarter price. Prices did go up in September, but they were depressed in July and August. I would say US$290/1000 sq. ft. sounds about right. If this is correct, third quarter earnings will be a tad lower that second quarter earnings. I would say around US$0.40/share. We will find out in four weeks if I am being realistic. Good luck to all. Carlo
