Well the answer surely is on the "THE BUZZ ON THE BULLBOARDS..." *Gag* Anyway, some folks might have been in for a spec div.  This will resume rising in the near term, these were awesome results. Sheesh, the div got dobuled.  I have 6000 shares so that's a good deal for me, an extra 10 grand a year.

I think the earnings even surprised mgt and then the board went conservative on the dividend. Check the balance sheet ..current assets up by $256 million USD...mostly cash and receivables. So they are hanging on to the cash this quarter. If Q4 is similar or better than Q3, they will undoubtedly increase the dividend again and it could be a lot. Will buying pressure return as special div bet becomes more likely for Q4? What about pending tax-loss selling? Need a clairvoyent here.

The third quarter was Norbord strongest quarter ever by 20% ... until they release Q4 results.  Coming into a cyclycally strong period for the housing industry. Single family homes are becoming more desirable and use 3x the amount of osb then multi-family. All of the homes built in the last boom of 2005-2008 are all 10-15 years old and due for major repairs and renovations.   ...more
