RE: QUESTION?No,cn and cp are not in negotiations with P.Conrail now CSX are still pretty happy with there green goats working in penn state.I drive a truck, railways can move containers and bulk comm. faster than me but majority of product is and will always be hauled by truck.Im across the US or canada and back before a freight car is half way to its destination railways lost all the buissness through poor service years ago.The baby boomers approved all the rails to be dug up years ago in the 70s and 80s they were unprofitable then they built logistic centers in the middle of no where.I worked for the railroad in the 80s took the buyout when laid off.As more track being laid only for sidings, no new track will be laid (property now to expensive)check the provinces that have no rail service to many loactions.P is in pretty sad shape now and if it dont get it together soon it will be gone .
