My brother in law did have ICBC insurance. He got a new car.
He had no idea the damage was that severe, it was all in the undercarraige.
As for warranties, they are just that. Much like a tire warranty. The longer you use it the less you get back.
There are terms in the manner of number of years etc.
Warranties as you know are nothing like a gurarantee. Lots of terms and conditions.
We can't expect teh car cos. to supply free batteries.
