My case: drivers in Ontario pay roughly 5.3 cents per litre of gasoline (the feds add 11 cents per litre, but the provincial government knocks that down by 5.7 cents).
My wife and I buy about 2000 litres of gas per year. Total paid in carbon tax = $106.
Total carbon tax rebate per couple in Ontario = $559.
Net gain = $453. Thank you, Ottawa!
All in all, I'm slightly incentivized to do less driving and to do more walking. If we cut down on our driving by 10%, I save about $300 in total (if gas stays at roughly $1.50/litre). I'll probably do it, because I'm a penny-pincher by nature.
On top of the individual consumer's case, every business in Canada is significantly incentivized. Look at all those great Canadian gas and oil companies -- like Peyto, for example -- who've knocked "carbon intensity" down to levels where they're saving some half-decent coin.
What if the Vaccine itself is more harmful than the disease?
My, my, myocarditis.... There will be a song about this 'mass formation psychosis' one day.
At least we have the trusted UK parliament seeking to openly discuss the potential harm caused by mRNA shots.
Many will be hopping mad when the truth is revealed in time.
