Current sell off in Canada....

I wonder if the upcoming June 25th Capital Gains tax ruling has triggered some selling fear amongst Canadian share holders?

Almost undoubtably - whether that be right or wrong is up to everyone to decide. From my persective, the legislation as we know it so far is not clearly defined enough to make a prudent decision on whether to sell or not. My reading inicates that it is still being finalized after which planners and CPAs and such will need time to review the full scope. I am waiting to see personally.

Yes it will be interesting what the final result will be. I, personally, am not in the $250k camp within each stock I hold so I'm ok in that retrospect. Nor, do I have a rental. I once did and ended up selling it. So, I've cleared that uncertainty too.
