Thoughts about Cove / Saddle When the possible JV with Newmont was announced, Ewan was somewhat excited about the prospects and, I believe, wanted to move ahead quickly. Since then, 2 DD terms have expired and they "hope" to get something done soon.
I suspect that the deal will be a bit different now that PG has purchased Cove.
The common denominator in both is Newmont. If the prospects for Cove are good as they believe, I would hate for Newmont to come calling and grab 51% for a song. I suspect ahat Ewan and the boys feel the same.
As such, it is possible that there is some discussion regarding the ending of Newmont's rights at Cove that may involve Saddle, the NSR at Emigrant and or the JV terms as previously discussed.
Yep, Ewan is too savy to find a ton of gold only to have others take it.
