Flat growth doesn't really cut it when you are yielding less than AQN and have political risk.

I've sold some earlier this year as the Q1 results were predictable. The new PPA on San Jacinto was going to lower revenues and EBITDA. The ramp-up in Peru would increase revenues a bit but wouldn't be able to make up for the lower PPA on San Jacinto. However, they are sitting on over $100M in USD cash for acquisitions or project development. It's a bit disappointing that they've ...more

Thanks for the response those were some good points I hadn't really considered. Didn't you use to be on the Che.un board ?

I used to be on che.un before they had to pay a lot from the lawsuits. I sold when disappointed with management. I've been with Polaris for a while, bought my shares between $11 and $14. Sold a bit over half when they negociated the new PPA in Nicaragua (basically, the term is extended but they get the same payments just over more years, imo negative for the stock). Holding the rest hoping ...more

Maybe they are holding cash to get better rate on new loans? Banks alway like to give money to those that have it

the cash is for acquisition of new power plant. It was supposed to happen last summer but delayed because of covid. Now slated for this year
