I believe you are wrong. This puppy is now packing MORE THAN $1 of debt for every dollar of hard  assets. Of the 11.5 billion in Assets, 3.3 Billion is Goodwill. This company is WAY over leveraged.

we shall see how well company  performed in the quarter after 4 today..I am banking on a nice share price boost to the low 40's by Sept end....Go Parkland Go!!!

Could it be that they were writing down the value of their asset for the sake of tax savings? Certainly, this issue is not reflected by the bonds they issued. They were pre-Powell hike days, but they were issued at very cheap interest rate.
