China dug 1.1 trillion tonnes of coal last year and burned 1.4 trillion tonnes  . The USA burned 800 billion tonnes . So coal is still a major fuel and will be for a long time . Coal and oil can not be replaced by hybrid EV , solar panels or windmills . Not in a million years ! 

And then we have our airheadTrudeau . Poor head up his rear end trudeau wants to ban internal combustion engines by 2035 .  What's he going to put in is new F35's .... batteries .
