Highest cost, too much Nat Gas %.

NuVista is way better on it's own.

These guys have languised for years, talk about value trap.   Karr is way overhyped.

Better names out there for sure without the massive debt that keeps rising like bread in an oven.

I think you wrong, the CGR's that nuvista are reporting (Pipestone) are low compared to Karr and Wapiti, and PIPE STONE is a current experiment in progress. The north wells are all new unexplored wilderness to NVA and these are drilling multiple wells so they can TEST multiple zones. Its a 12 well lottery of results.  I wish the best for NVA, and i often think of of Paramount as POU 1.2, ...more

Well pou own 19% of Nva. The balance sheet will be cleaned up by year end then JR will pay out sizable dividends.

RJ, HP, there's been a lot of mention about dividends, has  POU paid them out in the past? Sorry, as my name implies I'm pretty new to this.

Pou hasn't had FCF since I've been a shareholder. Seven Gens shares were dividend out 4 to 6 years ago. Since then no. But times are changing and the balance sheet and business model will permit them to flow again soon.

Pay down debt, NO DIVIDENDS! POU could be a $40 stock with little to no debt in 3 years!
Comment by Raymondjames on Mar 07, 2021 3:50pm
It's going to $40 regardless.

Jr needs to get some $$$ out without selling his control. Once debt is reduced, dividends will come. Not measly dividends but $2-$5 etc. buy more shares and enjoy the ride.

Energy is a political football nowadays. Best thing to do is bring debt way down. That way, when prices are low you stop drilling if not shut in wells which if everyone does that, prices will soon bounce back. When prices are high, you hedge and drill like crazy (and you hedge the payback on your new wells). That way, you're never beholden to the banks, you maximize profits, you don't ...more

At what price do you start hedging? If you hedge now and oil goes back to $100 (let's just say for arguments sake); so you've hedged ~50% of your prod at $65, you're significantly limiting both your cash flow and more importantly how the market will value your shares. Its been said on this board before, and I think HP said it best, hedging is an art form, if it works, you look like a ...more

Going to chime in on hedges for a moment. Use them to protect your balance and your company. Best business model now in the patch. Blue chip intermediate now. You may not capture all the upside but you sure as hell don't go below $9 now.  New base being formed. Debt can be paid down with sale of nva shares ($100m), Waterous ($45-90m), plus fcf in 2021 ($100m looks almost guaranteed due to ...more

Sorry folks, my comment wasn't meant as a criticism of POU's hedges or of POU in general. Actually Clayton Riddell was a hero of mine. My bad.  It was related to the industry business model.  I could have posted on any site actually.

Pou share price has gone from 88 cents in March 2020 to  a high of $11.80 in February 2021. Name one other oil and gas company that can match that lift.

$15-20 by year end.  And if your thinking of selling at that those levels, you will see $2 dividend in 2022 and higher each year thereafter. We can debate what you want done instead with that $2 but long term shareholders need to be rewarded
